What Should I Do If My Fast Track Immigration Entry Is Denied in Thailand?

I fast tracked in BKK just now. Fastrak immigration said that I had been here too many times. My last visa was a six month multiple entry from November until April 30 and I have been in America since then. I did not expect this to be a problem. I have not had any visa-less entries this year or last year.

Fastrak sent me to the regular immigration line and I am going to try again. What is my best course of action if that fails?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user faced issues with the Fast Track immigration process in Bangkok due to frequent entries but was eventually allowed entry through the regular immigration line. They plan to apply for a 30-day extension once inside Thailand. The comments provide insights into the experiences of other expats and advice regarding visa types and interactions with immigration officials.

Moral of this post: Nothing happened, nothing to see, nothing to advice,

They let him into Thailand for 30 days, not sure what the problem is, using a fast track when not allowed and send back to the normal line and stamped inside Thailand sound pretty normal to me.

You tried to come through immigration without a visa and told the IO you were going to stay 60 days

It’s not a very clever idea.

Why not? He legally can do that. He's from a visa exempt country, and those can be extended by 30 days.

I just came off 2 x METV's and went to/from America in that time no issues. Tried to fly back into CNX every time though as there's too many bad stories outa Bangers.

You just caught the wrong immigration officer at the wrong time. Believe me 90 THOUSAND people stamp in to thailand every day 99.99% of them without any issues at all.

You should have no problem getting a 30 day extension on your 30 day visa exempt entry stamp.

Good Luck

He asked how long I would stay. I said I would like to stay 60 days and I will ask for an extension and if the extension is denied I will leave after 30. He did not appear to like that answer.

Did the regular immigration officer ask you any questions? Ask you for proof of lodgings or if you had sufficient funds?

I think that’s a good lesson to pull from this but really I didn’t expect there to be a problem given that I have not used a visaless entry for two years and I have never overstayed and it’s been almost 9 months since my last stay
