What was the experience of using the DTV visa upon arriving at Don Mueang Airport in Thailand?

DTV arrival: Landed at Don Mueang today coming from Da Nang Vietnam. First time using the DTV. Was hassle free. Immigration officer asked me no questions. I gave my passport printed evisa and boarding ticket, got the stamp and on my way.

What should I do if I mistakenly use the normal immigration line instead of the LTR fast track line in Thailand?

HKT/LTR question; 

I tried to use my LTR to take the “short line”. But the officers said to go to the normal line. Was I supposed to use the “Thai/Diplomat” line? I only saw that and the foreign passport line. And if I was supposed to use that line what do you suggest I say so I don’t get turned away in the future?
