I'm new here, thanks for having me.
I have been to Thailand once a year for many years on a normal 30 day stay with the additional 30 days extension.
But next winter I will like to stay longer. I have already bought a flight ticket for arriving in BKK November 1st and return 29th. I will then stay home with my family in December and go back to Thailand in the beginning of January 2020. One of the first days in December I will go to the Thai Embassy and apply for a METV.
My concern is if my very recent stay in November will cause me any trouble in getting the Visa. I mean, it can hardly be called a back-to-back Visa since I'm out of Thailand for more than a month.
My arrival in January - hopefully with my METV - will be with a one-way ticket and a hotel voucher for the first one or two weeks. Will that be sufficient for the immigration authorities?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) after a recent trip to Thailand. They are concerned whether their upcoming stay in November and subsequent absences from Thailand will impact their METV application. Additionally, they inquire about the adequacy of traveling on a one-way ticket with a hotel voucher upon arrival in January.
