TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the process for their first 180-day visa leave and whether they can cross the border by land or air, expressing concern about the necessity to stay in another country for several days. Comments suggest that it's possible to fly out and return on the same day, though they recommend checking flight schedules. Some borders might require an overnight stay, but using border-run travel agencies can facilitate immediate re-entry into Thailand.

If you use one of the many border-run travel agencies then they virtually guarantee you can come straight back in as they have 'special' arrangements with border staff

Yes it’s a 5 year multi entry visa go and come as you like,as many times as you like

You can fly out then fly back in if there is a flight schedule that works with that.

You should also plan to enter the other country too.

Land borders usually they make you stay overnight or 2 nights
