What should I do about my work permit expiring while in quarantine in Thailand?
Hello there! So I have a quistion about my workpermit. I am currently in the Netherlands and travel back the end of next month.. only my workpermit will expires the 2th of June. I will probably be still in quarantaine by then. Is there a way to sort this out ?
Answer summary
A user is seeking advice regarding their work permit expiration on June 2nd while they are in quarantine after returning to Thailand. Suggestions include consulting the Thai Embassy in Amsterdam for guidance and notifying their employer about the situation. It's noted that extensions cannot be processed while outside of Thailand, and they have to either let the permit expire or return to Thailand before it does.

You can't extend out of country.
You either let it expire then apply for a new one in NL or you return to Thailand earlier.
Either way I suggest you speak to your employer as soon as possible.

I’d go to the Thai Embassy in Amsterdam before heading over. Even if you can’t get an extension, they’d be able to advise.
