What Should I Do If My Visa Expires While I'm Outside Thailand During Covid?

I just renewed my work permit in March this year and is now valid until March 2021. But my extension of stay in Thailand is until mid-May 2020 and I'm currently outside out Thailand (working from home). Another 1 year extension of stay is only done in Thailand but with the current Covid situation, quarantine requirements, and the risk of travelling, what's the best option if my visa/extension of stay expires while outside of Thailand? Can I easily get a non-B with my current work permit and company docs in Thai consulates outside Thailand? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their visa expiration while working outside Thailand due to Covid-19 restrictions. They are inquiring if they can apply for a Non-B visa at a Thai consulate with their current work permit and company documents.

If the last date of the permitted of stay stamped in your passport passes, you have to start all over again and apply for a new Non Immigrant B visa at a Thai Consulate in the country where you are.

It is as easy as before, just meet all the requirements.

thanks robert. my employer's visa adviser told me that I still need another Letter of Approval from Ministry of Labor, which they are now holding the process in issuing the letters.
