Hi everyone. Wish you all good. I have an ED visa and will be expired in June. And next extension I originally have to take the school documents back to my home country for the process. But right now you know the current aviation situation and restriction for the expats coming back. My school and some of my similar situation friends also advice me able to stay in BKK first til 31 July. and let see the latest announcement from Gov.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has an Educational (ED) visa expiring in June and is seeking advice on how to extend it amidst current travel restrictions. They mention that their school advises them to stay in Bangkok until July 31 for the situation to evolve. Key advice from commenters includes following the school's guidance, using amnesty until July 31, and taking necessary paperwork to the immigration office before the visa expiration.

okay,
@Pe**
we're talking about TWO totally separate things

Your current extension based on education is coming to an end and you are not able to get it extended any longer <- that means you got extensions as long as you could on it

AND

You have paperwork to take to a thai consulate in another country to buy a new 90 day single entry ED visa to start another part of your studying.

BUT

You can't do that right now because while you can get out of the country, you can't get back in..

SO

What you do is take a paper from your school stating you stopped studying on xxx date (the date your extension expires) go to the immigration office, cancel this current extension and then you will automatically go on amnesty until no longer than the 31st of July.

You CANNOT just let your extension run out, as that will not let you switch over to the amnesty you need to go cancel it

Do as your school suggests.

You are on amnesty til July 31

Good luck...

no, when your extension of stay based on studying is over, you cancel it and go on amnesty automatically

when Ed Visa ends one goes on Amnesty to July 31... unless make application for other visa in country...or leaves.
