TLDR : Answer Summary
Expats in Nong Bua Lamphu, Thailand, should be aware of the TM30 reporting requirements which mandate that they report their whereabouts each time they re-enter the country, even for short returns. This rule has been in place since 1979 but enforcement can vary between immigration offices. Ignorance of these regulations can lead to fines, as experienced by a poster's wife who incurred a 2000 baht fine after failing to report timely.

Address registration within 24 hours after arrival, yep a rule since 1979, but at different immigration offices different enforced. That is why on this page you always get the advice check with your local immigration office. There are no rules that you have to report that you left your house f.e. shopping other than to your missus.

Apparently those are the rules and have been for some time. ๐Ÿค”
