I am on a Non-O for 1 year from Chaengwattana. I just came back from abroad. Can you please confirm that the 90-day Report is reset to "0" on the day I re-enter Thailand?

Someone just told me that it does not work like that and I need to report when I reach the 90-day date regardless of my travelling abroad. Hard to believe, but I prefer to double-check with you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting requirement for holders of a Non-O visa is reset upon re-entering Thailand. The arrival day is considered as day 1 for the calculation of the next 90-day report. However, it's important to note that depending on the immigration office, there may be additional reporting requirements concerning your whereabouts within 24 hours of returning, regardless of the 90-day report.

Sakon Nakhon definitely enforces the TM30.

Ah OK, that is why they needed a TM30 from you, thanks for replying :-)

No and no. My stays are under 30 days due to the fact I’m still working in Australia. It might have been that I just use visa exempt stamps that they decided to check. There was no issue with getting the residency certificate.

Have you done a 90 day report previously at Sakon ? Do you have a work permit ? I got a certificate of residence without a TM30, just used my work permit. Not one single friend of mine has ever mentioned Sakon asking for a TM30.

This was 2 days ago. I needed a residency certificate and obviously they checked the system. I’d only got back 4 days previously.

Strange you would say Sakon enforces the TM30, 5 years here and never been asked for it.

I understand that but some others reading this need to understand the requirement in some Imm offices.. Many people read these threads

As mentionned, Chaengwattana. No TM30 required there, as far as I know.

Depending on where your reporting Immigration Office is you may need to report to Immigration within 24 hours of returning to Thailand... related to your whereabouts not to the 90 day report.. Some Imm offices enforce this and some don't
