ORIGINAL POSTER
I would like to bring my contribution on this platform to all members and their loved ones. For days in Thailand, cases of the new variant of Covid19 have been increasing the number of infected peoples.

The authorities have not yet taken measures or warned peoples to be careful, but they are disclosing on some platforms explanations about some vaccines, of the Astra type, because in minimal cases it occurs as an adverse result of the blood reaction.

Be very careful in crowded places especially in Bangkok. BTS, Subway, Trains, Buses and Shopping Centers.

Use masks and always keep your hands sanitized.

Be Safe !

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recently, COVID-19 cases have surged in Thailand, particularly concerning a new variant. Although authorities have not implemented strict measures or issued warnings, individuals are cautioned to exercise care, especially in crowded areas like Bangkok's public transport and shopping centers. People are advised to wear masks and maintain hand hygiene. The community's reactions reflect a mix of concern and skepticism regarding the seriousness of the situation and responses to previous vaccination campaigns.

Those who promoted the covid panic & associated lockdowns & oppression should be in prison by now!

A lot of people died & had their lives ruined by panic mongers & police state groupies!

Any who fear should shut up & hide in silence under their beds & make sure they have stocked up on cans of soup & leave the sane to go on living our lives...

I know exactly what you mean I flew in on the 28th April , from Bahrain after travelling from Manchester on the flight there were four people together constantly coughing the whole 7hs. Wasn't just a normal smokers cough, by the time I got to Bangkok I couldn't work out if it was just the extreme heat, although it never affected me last year but I was building up a temperature and getting a sore throat and political going on aches and pains, started to cough I have had all my injections But after my throat swelling up, burning up feelings like S***t took a test on my 4th day here ....YES ... I WAS POSITIVE FOR COVID,,,,,,, you can see why it's spreading so easily when nobody is stopping people getting on the planes with it What's more alarming is, lots of chemists have now got test kits, on the front desk again! even a new one which also does testing the saliva 2 in 1 as if they know something We don't!? so my holiday of isolating not feeling well, ruined my stay here I have tested negative now, But worried I still got left with a sore throat and still coughing and getting back on the plane today 😭. To go Home and make it worse as Run down not 100% still ?? Only time will tell if there's another pandemic around the corner

Make sure you go get an STD/STI test too before it crossbreeds with the covid, you sound like a walking petri dish that escaped the lab, geez...

You should be wearing a hazmat suit by now...

What did your mum have to say all about it?

I caught something just before I left to come back home for awhile. It was a nagging cough that finally turned to a low fever and being tired. Kinda like a bad cold. I did test myself and it showed Covid. Took a total of about 4 weeks to get rid of the cough.

You're referring to the FliRT one right?

Majority are vaxxed and boosted, with a ton of therapeutics, meds etc available.. relax.... it's OK. Just go do the booster .....

Seasonal changes always bring colds and flu's.. no need to try make people panic again like covid and go the weird conspiracy route of government not telling people truth etc etc..

It’s not a new disease anymore. It has adapted not to kill its host

Afaik this new variant is not considered a major threat. The ignorance by many during the actual pandemic (we see some of that here) was a major problem, still is to some extent, but the pandemic is now really over. Covid is among us and is here to stay, but it's considered endemic now. Getting it, spreading it unwillingly, may not be great and cause some discomfort, but we're far away from the stage where closures and other major efforts are required to control the spread and ensure hospitals don't overflow. Reason is that most of us (at least the ones who are smart enough not to listen to the anti-vax sheep) have been vaccinated, and virtually everyone has gone through multiple covid infections by now. Resistance is at the required level to avoid hospital capacity problems without drastic measures. And lastly, new variants are largely mild, not causing overhospitalization, but supporting immunity.

So, my advice would be not to panic.

Dude, at least the antivax sheep are still alive!

well what can I say? I haven't met ANYONE who regrets not taking the V but oh boy have I met people who regret taking it. Game set and match!
Bart **************
@Paul *******
People who regret taking it?? 🤣 In your dreams. Why would you regret that?

And yeah, people who regret NOT taking it... well, there are many. Some don't get a chance to regret because they're no longer alive.

By the way. The way you talk about this... you seem to be a little detached from the reality. How about visiting a psychiatrist? Hope to see you back on earth one day again. The real one, that is. It's a globe, in case you wondered.

with the old variants 20 times as often, to be exact. Newer variants still quite a few times more.

What happened to all those variants that were supposed to keep coming around!?! Didnt they make it right!?!🤣

new variants will come and keep coming. Question is how bad they are. If not so bad, no need to panic.

Thais are good at it, but even they seem fairly lax now. It took a full year until the first Thai took his mask off after the mandate was lifted but I don't see lots of panicking about that new variant going on.
