TLDR : Answer Summary
When changing from a retirement visa to a marriage visa in Thailand, the paperwork required may differ based on your gender. Specifically, a foreign woman married to a Thai man is not required to have 400,000 Baht in the bank or the equivalent monthly income, while the reverse is true for foreign men married to Thai women. It’s important to confirm the exact forms and checklist requirements with the immigration office.

Foreign woman married to thai man doesn't need 400k in bank or equivalent monthly income.

Foreign man married to thai woman does.

That's the only difference .
