I’m coming in mid July and going home mid September what paper work do I need to get an extension pls
Answer summary
To extend your stay in Thailand from mid-July to mid-September, you'll need to be aware of your entry status: if you're entering with a tourist visa or visa-exempt. If you have a tourist visa, you'll be stamped in for 60 days or more; if visa-exempt, you'll initially receive 30 days. To extend your visa, you generally need your passport, two passport-size photos, and 1,900 THB. It's also important to ensure that your accommodation is properly registered (TM30) before application at the immigration office.

For a 90 day stay you will need a 60 day tourist visa (assuming visa exempt reverts to 30 days) plus a 30 day extension at the immigration office that serves your location inside Thailand. You'll also need to verify with your airline that is ok or whether you need a ticket out of Thailand within the initial 60 days
on a single entry tourist visa you would get stamped in for a 60-days stay permit, without the need to extend the stay. On a visa-exempt, you get stamped in for 30 days, you need to visit Immigration before the 30-days expire and apply for the 30 days extension which costs 1900 THB. Compared to the visa-exempt, to arrive on a 60-days tourist visa is the easier approach
Stephen Crane you need to be properly TM30 registered in your accommodation. You take your passport, two passport size pictures and 1900 Baht to Immigration. You fill out the form on Immigration.
let's hope they publish it soon, to take away the guessing and wondering. Mid-July? How can you plan a holiday not knowing what to expect? His best option still is the 60-days tourist visa
