I am sure this has been ask before but I want to be sure. I plan to travel to Thailand in August get a VOA and then get a O visa in Thailand question is do I need to have money in Thai bank for the 60 days or not. Thanks. PS. Would a tourists visa do better to start with. Thanks again
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the financial requirements for obtaining a Non-O visa in Thailand after initially entering on a Visa on Arrival (VOA). Comments suggest that the user will likely enter Thailand with visa-exempt status rather than a VOA. It is noted that funds in a Thai bank account are generally required for an in-country Non-O visa application, and the rules can vary by province regarding whether the funds need to be seasoned. Additionally, the Tourist visa could prove beneficial due to its longer stay period and ease of processing.
