Hi guys, I was just curious what are your options if you were to lose or quit your job in Thailand during this time? Is it possible to obtain another visa without having to leave the country or are there no other options except for returning to your home country? The reason I’m curious is because the business I work for is unstable now and I just want to be prepared for the worst. Thank you guys in advance for any info or advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you lose or quit your job in Thailand, your options for obtaining another visa depend on various factors including the date of job loss. Following the end of the active amnesty program, individuals can request a 30-day extension through their embassy or apply for a medical extension with appropriate documentation. It is vital to have contingency plans in case of job instability.

Unfortunately the free amnesty runs out Saturday the 26th SO that means if you lose/quit your job after that date, the only option you have open would be to get a letter from your embassy and ask for the 30 day embassy request extension OR get a letter from a doctor or hospital stating you can't travel and apply for a medical extension.

what's to stop him applying for an in-country marriage visa, retirement visa, ed visa etc if eligible after cancelling his non b?

Not a thing
@Dom****
IF he's eligible for one of those. What I wasn't gonna do was run thru every permutation of their options with the limited info I had from them.
