Just a simple question or two on the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. Making some flight arranges for next season before the prices on airfare rise too much.
For the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa is date on the visa the date that you have applied for it or is date they approve and send it. Also roughly how long has it been taking to get it. I realize that there may be some difference between Countries, but they should be close.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The date on the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) indicates when it becomes valid, which is the issuance date, not the application date. The processing time for e-visas generally ranges from 1 to 2 weeks, with some applicants reporting approval in as little as 3 days. Each entry into Thailand with an METV allows a stay of 60 days, but extensions are possible, potentially granting a total stay of up to 9 months.
The date on the visa is the date that it's valid from. All Thai visas are valid from the day they're issued, Thailand will not post-date a visa so you should apply for it as close to your entry day as possible.
Also note, while the METV is valid for 6 months, each time you enter Thailand you'll only be stamped in for 60 days. If you enter on the last day the visa is valid for, you'll also he stamped in for 60 days, with an in country extension you can get roughly 9 months from a METV.
