What are the pros and cons of the METV I got approves for it no problem just wondering if there going to ask me question or if I could still be denied entry I put on my application that I'm staying for 54 days that's when my flight out is but plan on coming back in a few days later will I have any issues and can I just get an extension so I'm there 90days then fly out n re eneter and the. Just get another extension my visa was approved April 26 so I'm guessing I have 6 months from that date is there anyway to stay longer as my Thai girlfriends birthday is sept 21 and really want to take her on a cruise that week some people were saying I could stay longer then 6months technically and because I was approved so fast I lose out on 2 months is this correct ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the validity and extensions related to a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) for Thailand, touching on concerns about entry denial, the implications of staying beyond the initially stated duration, and how border runs can maximize time in the country. It also addresses common experiences shared by other users about the entrance process and visa conditions.

The passport control people in thailand when you stamp in aren't gonna say anything to you because you have a valid visa.

What is the "date of issue" and the "enter before" or "valid until" date stamped on the VISA itself?

, WOW, it's good for a thousand years ;)

The way to maximize your time on that visa is to make sure that you exit/re-enter the country just prior to the 17th of Oct.

That will get you the final 60 day entry you could get on that visa and then extend that stamp by 30 days at the immigration office.

That wrings the most time out of the visa as possible.

Most people can get about 9 months of time in country out of a 6 month METV if you play the border bounces correct. BUT in order to do that you need to get the visa as close to when you're coming to thailand as you can because the visa is only valid for 6 months from the date it's issued and if you get it too soon all you do is burn the validity down NOT being here
