Hi. When applying for the 90-day non-immigrant Cat O in one's home country, prior to applying in Thailand for the 1-year extension based on Marriage to a Thai, is it 400,000 or 800,000 Bt required to be in one's bank account for that 90-day visa? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 90-day non-immigrant Cat O visa in your home country, the required bank account balance is typically 400,000 baht in relation to the subsequent 1-year extension based on marriage to a Thai national. However, it is advisable to check the specific requirements on the embassy's website, as these can vary.

Marriage to Thai is 400,000 baht for the visa/extension in Thailand. The exact amount you'll need for an embassy will be on the embassy's website, as it's not always the same.
