Hi, my next 90 days report will be due the few day before my one year visa expire? I am wondering about the process. I should report first and then renew visa after or at the same time. What documents do I need to use? Do I have to go to MT or CW? Thank you so much for kindly assistance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for dealing with your 90-day report and one-year visa extension in Thailand is as follows: You can file your 90-day report at MTT from 15 days before the due date until 7 days after. For the One Year Extension of Stay, apply it three business days before your current visa expires, ideally on the same day if possible. Always do the 90-day report at MTT, while the extension is noted to be handled mainly at CW. If you go to CW for your extension, you may inquire about the 90-day report there as well. If not, you will need to do it separately at MTT.

If you do a 90days report separately, you need to go to MTT, which is the only place 90days reports are handled.

Go to CW first for your extension application. When they see your receipt with a due date, they might let you do the report at the same time. Or you can ask about 90days report when you submit the documents to the officer when your queue comes (not at the queueing or reception counters).

If they say no, then you go to MTT.

CW accepts 90days reports only when you apply for an extension, no solo 90days report service there.

For the 90 day report, you can file it from 15 days BEFORE the due date until 7 days AFTER the due date.

For the One Year Extension of Stay, you can apply for it three business days before it expires.

If there is a window where both can be filed at the same time, then file them on the same day. Otherwise, you'll have to file them on different days.

The 90 day reports are done at MTT.

(ALMOST) all One Year Extension of Stays are done at CW.

what is MTT and CW

MTT = Muang Thong Thani immigration office for Bangkokg. Counters A B, an K are located there

Counter A = 90 day report

Counter B = TM30 and certificate of residence

Counter K = Visa exempt related activity.

CW = Changwatanna. Counter for Bangkok. Counters C-1, C-2, J and L are located there.

Counter C-1 = All in-country non-immigrant visas

Counter C-2 = Re-entry permits

Counter J = Tourist visas

Counter L = Marriage to a Thai national and Retirement.

MTT COUNTER K will only process 300 people a day.

CW requires a person to have three business days or less remaining on the existing stamp/ extension of stay.

... Thanks fir confirming that it is 3 business days before expiry date for extension renewals on my marriage visa. Can we choose which of those 3 days we go ?

You can chose with day to go. For example, if your extension of stay is due on Friday, September 3, you can go either on

Friday, September 3;

Thursday, September 2;

Wednesday, September 1.

your extension is not linked to the 90D if the due date is before your extension expire date better do before as makes your file look better and complete on renewal and yes it’s still in MTT
