My online 90 day report got rejected? It says the first one has to be in person? How does that work considering I will be leaving and returning in 3 months? You cant report online on a dtv????
Answer summary
When holding a long-term visa in Thailand, the first 90-day report must be submitted in person. This requirement resets each time you leave and re-enter the country. If you hold a DTV visa or a multi-entry long-stay visa, you will need to report in person every time you re-enter the country for your first 90-day report of your stay. Subsequent reports may be done online if the first one was submitted early. It’s essential to visit the appropriate immigration office, and for those unable to visit in person, mailing the report is an option if timed correctly.

Technically, if you report in person one day early and leave on the 180th day, you could submit 2 reports and 2nd could be online
We mail ours in for the first time. But you need to time it so they receive it 14 to 7 days before your reporting date. It takes about 5 to 7 weeks for them to return it. I've done it so many times this way. Or you have to go in person.
If you were to get the 180 day extension of stay you would report in person the 1st time then could report online the other times. Also if you report early the 1st time the next report is due 90 days from then so you may actually need 2 90 day reports for a 180 day stay
The point is on DTV technically you do not RE-enter on a long stay, but because it is multi-entry, you get a new stay every time you enter the country.
The first 90 day report of each stay has to be done in person.
For a long stay visa that means only once reporting in person, because you come back on the same stay with a re-entry permit.
For DTV this means you only can do online reporting if your first 90 day report was early resulting in a possible second one before day 180.
Wolf7247 if you can't do it online you go to the immigration office that serves the area where you are currently living. Get a copy of the TM30 receipt from whoever is responsible for filing that stating you live there
The first 90 day report has to be in person. When you leave the country it resets again. So every time you leave the country and come back, you have to do 90 day report in person.
