What is the process for re-entering Thailand on a Non OA retirement visa and do I need to complete a TM30?

I have a Non OA retirement Visa.

Will be retuning for first time after visiting USA.

What is the process?

I mean - we land and I go through immigration.

They stamp me as returned to Thailand.

This starts my clock over again and I now have 90 days to check in again.

Am I correct?

What about the TM30?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon returning to Thailand with a Non OA retirement Visa, you will go through immigration where you'll be stamped as returned. This generally resets your 90-day reporting requirement, starting a new clock for your next check-in. Depending on your visa status and whether you had a re-entry permit, you could be stamped in for 12 months aligned with your health insurance validity. Additionally, regarding the TM30 form, you may need to report your address to immigration upon re-entering, as some officers require an update from foreigners returning from abroad.

It depends. If you have a current Non-OA visa you will be stamped in for 12 months or the duration of your insurance, which ever comes first

I think you mean options, correct. You have only one option if you are on the Non OA that is use one of the recommended insurance companies to purchase your health insurance, as I mentioned above the Non OA doesn’t allow you to self insure.

there are none.

Non-OA doesn't allow self insurance, so you either find one of the approved OA insurance companies that will carry you,

OR

you get off that OA visa (that you got from your consulate before you came here) and get a regular O visa w/extension <- that doesn't require any insurance

Sadly your questions have nothing to do with this thread, SO if you have more questions make your own post please 🙂

Here's the OA insurance companies

and make absolutely sure when you present your passport at the airport, to say this is on a reentry permit. Turn your passport to that page, even they will take it back to the first page. Look him/her straight in the eye, because often when they’re bored and tired and will start to automatically stamp you in for 30 days instead. check your passport stamp before you leave the area.

Then you’re already on your second year and only will be stamped back in on your current stamp or current permission to stay in Thailand. The Non O-A visa itself is expired or used.

TM30 is filed by the house owner where you stay. If you plan to arrive on or after May 1st then you and every other foreigner needs to file an online TDAC arrival form.

You’ll get stamped in for another year or as long as your health insurance is valid. After 89 days you’ll have to do another 90 days report. Regarding TM.30 you’ll need to check with your immigration as some require an update when you re-enter from abroad.
