TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses the requirements for obtaining a multiple entry spousal visa from Savannakhet for a Thai wife. While one user inquires about a template for a handwritten letter from their wife, several others share their experiences indicating that such a letter may not be necessary, as they successfully obtained the visa without one. Key points include the importance of financial support verbiage, the necessity of providing a Thai marriage certificate, a copy of the wife's ID card, and potentially a Lao visa stamp, although there is some uncertainty regarding the requirements.
I was there 2 weeks ago and got that visa without a letter from my wife. BUT my wife was with me at the consulate dont know if that makes a difference. Didnt see anything about a letter in the online requirements as far as I recall. They did want a copy of thr Thai document for changing her name after we were married.
Did you need a copy of your Lao visa and entry stamp? And did you need the kor ror part of the marriage certificate as well or just the rose bordered part? (sorry for all the questions)
had a copy of Laos visa/stamp dont remember if they took it. We were married in the US so i had the US marriage cert plus the Kor Ror 22 (registration of foreign marriage).
Prior to getting a non-B I had always gone to HCMC and this was a requirement. So I assumed it would be for Savannaket too. The Savannaket website doesn't mention about requiring one either so I suppose I can scrap it.
