I am planning on taking an extended trip to thailand anywhere from 6-12 months. Thought it would be fun to have a part-time job maybe as a waiter or bartender as I am planning on staying in Phuket for a good majority of the trip. What's the best way to go about getting a work permit? Do I need to apply for the job while I am there then get the work permit? Or do I need to get the work permit first then find a job? Also if anyone has any great suggestions for travel/medical insurance that would be awesome as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a work permit for part-time work in Thailand during an extended stay. Comments suggest that certain jobs are prohibited for foreigners and emphasize the importance of not working without a permit. Additionally, for a stay longer than 90 days without working, a multiple-entry visa is recommended to be obtained before traveling, although it is clarified that you cannot work on that visa.
