Hello,

I had a job interview for teaching in a kindergarten. I asked if they provide for the work permit and they said “of course”. But when I asked if they know about the new rules for going out of the country and coming back ( Covid certification, 5 stars health insurance, quarantine period etc) they seemed completely lost. They continued telling me that there isn’t any problem but I’m a little scared that, once I start to work and stay in the country longer than 31 st July (My ed visa expired on June 3rd) I’ll be in trouble and I’ll have to pay a lot of money of overstay.

Does anyone know how the procedure for work permit work for teaching jobs?

Thanks 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about obtaining a work permit for a teaching job in Thailand amidst new regulations and the expiration of their education visa. They have received conflicting information during their job interview about work permits and entry requirements post-COVID. The thread includes comments offering different insights on the work permit application processes, the need for a valid visa, and the uncertainty caused by ongoing changes to visa policies.

Your qualifications copies health ,cert.letter of invitation school, signed by director, make up of school number teachers students, map of school (really).your contract signed dated, but as far as I know if you are changing your visa status you need to leave the country.the most problematical

I’m in the same situation. Yes, it’s got me anxious too. On visa amnesty but I already have a job lined up. Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do right now. We just have to sit and wait and hope that the government changes their policy so we can transfer our visa amnesty status into a non-B visa in country, or allow us to do a quick inexpensive border bounce. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s going to happen.

It is a nice wish list, people can always dream. Good luck ,but do not spent your last money on the bet it will happen.

Until news breaks about what happens after the amnesty finishes nobody knows.

If you are inside Thailand the employer use the Work Permit application method 1 to apply for a Work Permit, But the applicant must have a valid visa that allows to work inside Thailand in combination with a Work Permit.

If you are outside Thailand the employer use the Work Permit application method 3 to apply for a Work Permit,

but method 3 is also many times used to apply for the work permit, hand over the application approved forms and let the foreigner leave Thailand to apply at a Thai Consulate for a new Non Immigrant B visa,
