Yesterday I went to Korat immigration office to file TM30. We were told that we need to get a letter from the village health volunteer acknowledging that they're aware that I'm staying in the area. Does anyone know anything about this and what I need to do? I'm assuming this is a new thing due to the covid situation.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a recent experience at the Korat immigration office where the author was informed that, to file a TM30 form, they must obtain a letter from a village health volunteer acknowledging their stay in the area. This has sparked confusion and skepticism among community members, with some stating that such a requirement has not been previously encountered. Others suggest online filing as an alternative, though issues with the system have been reported.
Sounds like BS. Each immigration office has their interpretations of the “rules” But I’ve never heard of a village chief or health volunteer being part of the process.
