What is the current procedure for getting a Kor Ror 22?

We got married in the US and I entered Thailand on a 90 day Non-O and I am worried that I can’t get a Kor Ror 22 in time to apply for one year extension.

Do I need to bring our marriage certificate to the US embassy for anything? They don’t have any appointments available for a month.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The current procedure for obtaining a Kor Ror 22 involves several steps. First, the foreign marriage certificate must be certified by the U.S. embassy, which may require appointments that can be hard to secure promptly. Once certified, the document must be translated into Thai and then verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before it can be submitted to any district office in Thailand. It's advisable to bring two witnesses when applying for the Kor Ror 22.

Kor ror 22 is family registration in Thailand, First you need to prove the married certificate is true by the Embassy then translate in thai language and prove the right translate at Ministry of Foreign affairs at Changwattana then can brings that paper to any District office in Bangkok or any provinces in Thailand to get kor ror 22 before go get call and asks first some place as my home need to bring 2 witnesses and from my experience I waited for my Finnish embassy 1 and half months to get stamps so good luck 👍

They did when got mine done, althought that was years ago. If Ibrecall correctly they didnt authenticate the marriage certificate per say, but signed and stamped a letter we wrote saying we were married and this was an copy of our authentic marriage certificate.

yes that’s where I was getting confused. I now know they won’t authenticate but they will notarize, which will suffice.

You will need to get the foreign marriage certificate certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Did you contact them yet?
