Just a quick report on my 1st visit to Ban Phi Nam Ron Myanmar Thailand border, Hope its helpful to others who had not been before.
Arrived at the border after a nice picturesque drive from Hua Hiin, I was pointed in the direction of a small 'room' , And quickly attended to by a guy dressed in 'beach clothes' who took my passport , I was very weary but all was ok, he checked my passport and filled out all necessary forms, paid my 960baht which covered private car to Myanmar & the visa fee. The usual passport check on exiting Thailand and the The crossing was short 10 minutes, pretty eyesore views of what only looked like a quarry with pretty bad roads, we then waited outside a shack of a' duty free' while our driver went 'missing' for 15minutes & sorted out the visa stamps. Back we came and stamped into Thailand for 90 days . Quite painless & the 'visa taxi guys' were great...
