TLDR : Answer Summary
The recent comments indicate that crossing the Kanchanaburi-Burma border is still a straightforward process for those seeking a visa exemption or activating a multi-entry visa. Travelers have reported a fee of approximately 950-960 THB for completing the border crossing, which includes assistance from staff at the crossing point. Overall, it seems to be a smooth experience with minor changes in setup.
yup still an easy border hop I activated another 90 days on an existing multi O visa
960 to jump the transport over to the other side & back, the layout has changed slightly, no longer pay at the little cafe now, the is a specific kiosk just before you leave thailand pay there an the rest is as simple as ABC
Tracy, I went last Wednesday drove my own car from Hua Hin, Really simple crossing, though the set up has changed slightly, Once I had parked at the carpark and Just before you walk to the departure counter(Thailand counter) the is a small kiosk on the left there a lady will assist you with everything (960Thb) including the short drive to Myanmar & the small fee you must pay for not overnighting in Myanmar, just wait in the the small cafe for the driver, once back on Thai soil nothing has changed quick stamp in and all done, Really simple, Hope this helps.
