What is the expected processing time for the eVisa system in Cambodia and how does it compare for others?

Anyone have experience using the evisa system in Cambodia? Wondering if the processing time is really 5 business days? Saw someone in Ho Chi Minh get theirs back in 2 days. Also wondering if the documentation they are requiring is the same of if they are asking for more now.

Also, I think there is a Thai public holiday on Monday. That means their international embassies will be closed too right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around experiences with Cambodia's eVisa system, particularly related to processing times, which can vary widely—some received their visas in as little as 24 hours while others are still waiting beyond that. There are also concerns about the impact of public holidays, as both Cambodia and Thailand will have their embassies closed, potentially affecting visa processing times.

My husband received DTV E visa within 24 hours in Phnom Penh. Applied on 8 and approved next day. I am still waiting for my Spouse visa which is already over 24 hrs now.

Wow! That's amazing so quickly. Would be great to get lucky like that.

Sign up and start the application process now, from wherever you are.

Finish it, pay and submit when you're there.

I'd recommend considering the processing time that they give, rather than planning travel around what others have experienced. Unfortunately, there is no fixed processing time.

The application process will ask you to specify your travel plans. It seems that if you're planning to enter Thailand 'soon', you're application might be processed 'sooner'...

Yeah I've already done that. Thanks for the tip anyways though. I am not planning any specific flights or anything to take me over to Thailand so I can wait in Cambodia as long as need be. Was just hoping that if I apply on this Sunday night that I won't have to wait out through the following weekend. I figured I'd be good but then saw the Thai public holiday on Monday and figured that might throw a wrench in my plans.

Tuesday is a Cambodian holiday as well, so the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh will probably be closed for both holidays

- looks like the embassy doesn’t observe it though. Just checked their website and it isn’t listed. Only Thailand’s holiday on Monday

Ok cool. That is what I saw on the embassy website too, but you know how things are there. Anything could happen 😂
