Is the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh a safe bet for getting a single entry tourist visa? I've previously only used the embassy in Vientiane (where I never had a problem) but I happen to be in Phnom Penh the same week my current visa expires. If yes, is there anything in particular to think of, as I've never visited that embassy before. It would be a case of applying for the visa on a Friday and picking it up on the Monday following. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry about the reliability of the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh for obtaining a single entry tourist visa received a response indicating it's not a same-day service. Instead, the embassy offers a minimum two-day processing time, with passport submission on one day and collection on the following day. Due to this processing time, it's recommended to allow extra days to avoid any issues with expiring visas.

I would suggest staying in PP for an extra day or 3 just to make sure...look at it as an adventure

, NO thai consulate in S/E Asia offers same day service. The one in Phnom Penh offers 3 days service meaning you turn in your passport one day and get it back TWO days after that.

Vientiane, Savannakhet, Penang, Yangon, etc ALL run on a turn in your passport in the morning one day and pick it up in the afternoon the next day.

It cannot be done in 24 or 26 hours. :/

The shortest it can be is about 29 - 30 hours, and that'd be IF you're the first person to turn in your passport at 8:30 and the first person the next afternoon to pick up your passport at 1:00.
