What is the current requirement for keeping the 400,000 baht in the bank for a NON-O visa renewal in Thailand?
Hi. Just want to clarify something.
Filling out my paperwork for extension for non o visa marriage.
Was just checking over everything.
Has the amount of time the 400 has to be in the bank changed. I thought on renewal it was 2 months.
But AI is now saying 3 months.
I know AI is wrong on many things but thought I would check in here. TIA

The seasoning requirement for the 400K baht banked money proof of funds on a marriage to a thai extension is 2 months before you apply for the extension.
You want bad information about entry/visa/extensions to thailand ask ANY of the AI programs out there.. Bad info has been parroted so often by people that AI data mines it as accurate

the detail transaction report and bank letter validity vary by Immigration office. Bangkok immigrations allows the transaction report and bank letter to be up to 7 days old.
Some offices want those issued the day you apply for the extension.
All require you update your Thai bank book the day you apply for the extension.
Check with your immigration office to see what their policy is on the transaction report and bank letter.

dunno why that happened, in Bangkok the bank letter and the detail transaction report can be up to 7 days old, but you have to update your bank passbook the day you applyScott *********

On the day is ok. But much easier with a 24hr window. Then I can get to immigration before open.
