I'm on a yearly extension of stay for retirement based on a non-immigrant O visum.
Before doing my last TM47 90 day reporting online on 02/01/2025, approved on 03/01/2025, my next reporting was due on 16/01/2025. Now the next one is due on 02/04/2025. So far, so good...
This morning, I received an email saying this:
"Your receipt for notification of "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" will be due on 16/01/2025.
(...)
Please apply TM47 request online or contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area before due date."
2 questions:
1) Should I worry that Immigration may have bungled up my last TM47? I just checked in the online system where everything still looks good.
2) Useful to know for the next time: Can an online TM47 nowadays also be done just 5 days before the due date? The email text suggests that this is the case but I think TIT also applies here and it might be a "misunderstanding"... So far I thought that it was only possible 14 days to 7 days before the due date, hence I did it 14 days before.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a yearly extension of stay based on a non-immigrant O visa and has questions regarding their TM47 reporting. They received an email suggesting a possible issue with their previous reporting but found no problems in the online system. They also seek clarification on whether they can submit the TM47 online just 5 days before the due date instead of the 14 days they initially thought was required.

The system that sends reminders is not a smart system. It's just a simple timer and has no idea if anything changes or is done differently. People who leave Thailand still get those emails. Just do it when the next correct date for you to report is here.
