Hello all I was in Thailand for two months last year. . I was there again this year for seven weeks. I am going back in February next year for possibly three months. When I'm there I am continuing with dental treatment I had in June July this year.

What is the best way to do this please for three months stay. Do I simply extend for an extra 30 days at my local immigration office in Hua Hin?

Note to Trolls.

Yes I have googled it. ThanksπŸ‘πŸ»

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning to stay in Thailand for three months to continue dental treatment and is inquiring about the best method to extend their stay. Comments suggest options like extending a stay at the immigration office or obtaining a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) for longer trips, while also considering visa runs to neighboring countries.

I'd suggest you get a METV for your trip in November which will also cover you for February

I'd prefer doing a visa run. Pop over to Vietnam or down to Penang. Dentistry options in Vietnam are also suburb.

I'm kind of confused by the way you described your timeline. Could you clarify your last 13 months history inside Thailand please

ok you aren't entering with any visa so no. Do you need a company to do a border bounce from Bangkok?

I don't think so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ as of now, in the last 12 months I would have been in Thailand for 15 weeks (105 days). I'm returning in January for 8 weeks.

@Martin *******
if its 105 days Immigration has this recorded in their IT Systems

@Phil *****
so can I do 60 days (from UK) then just extend at immigration for 30 more
Phil ******
@Martin *******
yes a 60-day TR (TOURIST) Visa on the Evisa website prior to travel. When here get a 30-day extension. OR apply for a METV (multiple entry Tourist Visa) but this still won't guarantee entry to Thailand by the IO. you can apply for a NON O or NON OA on the website where you get 90-days

you are not the only one. It is a potpourri of coming, going, extending, staying and returning. I am still left completely dizzy

sorry πŸ˜€ been once 2024 for 8 weeks and earlier this year for 7 weeks. Single trips no visa or extensions.

like others said: The Immigraton officer at the border will sum up all touristic entries you did during the recent 365-days period. He can clearly see it on his computer. If the stays exceed a 180 days period in total, he is going to pull you aside. Your chances are higher if you have stayed abroad for a long spell between each entry, and if you didn't maximize every visa-exempt stay with an extension

You've neglected to mention what passport you hold???

Assuming you are eligible for 60 fay exempt and 30 day extension? Then you should be fine with that. Nothing what you've done should effect that? If you had done previous extension or back to back stays.. Then you could potentially have trouble.

Play safe and get a tourist visa, but personally I think your fine.
