Hi guys. I need advice. I have a Cambodian girlfriend who lives in pattaya with a work permit to remain in Pattaya. What is the best way to get her a visa to visit Australia for a holiday.

It's very hard for cambodians to get tourist visas in most cases you have to put up a bond,,,,your best bet would be try for fiance visa which would mean you have to get married within certain period of time

Australia has become very difficult to obtain holiday visas for girl friends over the last 3-4 years because many do not return home

You need to provide proof of relationship (photos, messanger conversations and flights together etc.. work), a letter confirming length of relationship and proof of your earnings, along with saying you will provide all funds required to cover her stay. An itinerary, mostly arrival and departure dates etc...
I suspect it will be a lot easier to do it in Cambodia though.

The only way is for her to apply using agent in Thailand, they know all the tricks and will just fake everything to satisfy Australian immigration. I tried getting my girlfriend over using Australian visa agent and it was a logistical nightmare trying to get my girl to send all relevant documents and translations bank statements, the list goes on and then Australian immigration sees that you have done all of the hard work and still rejects it

Apply for tourist visa at the embassy perhaps. Can take months and requires sponsorship. Does her work permit allow her to leave, she will have to notify immigration so can re-enter.

Best option is usually a Visitor Visa (subclass 600). Since she already has legal status/work permit in Thailand, that helps. Biggest thing is proving she will return to Thailand after holiday — job, income, apartment, family, return ticket etc.
Better if trip is short and realistic (2–4 weeks), and you can sponsor accommodation + some expenses.
Avoid making it sound like permanent migration or marriage plans. Just tourism/holiday.
Cambodian passport holders can get approved, but immigration mainly looks at whether she has strong reasons to go back to Thailand after the trip.
