TLDR : Answer Summary
This conversation discusses the process of obtaining a UK visa for a girlfriend currently in Thailand. Key points include the necessity for strong ties to Thailand to ensure she returns post-visit, the involvement of visa agencies to gather and submit necessary documents, and the requirement for biometrics at VFS centers in Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Several commenters share personal experiences highlighting challenges faced due to strict immigration policies, financial requirements, and the importance of documentation proving ties to Thailand.
You provide all the documents for the agent, they might have to do a couple of translations, they then upload them to the VFS site. A trip to Bangkok is required for a biometric fingerprint in and out in a few minutes provided you made an appointment. Good earner for an agent starting at

Take her to Japan instead. 15 days visa free. She will enjoy it far more
Does she have children in Thailand , mum and dad and family . Does she have a job (no problem if not) .
We did it earlier this year and 6 month multi visa gained . We provided many photos , convos from WhatsApp phone records . Money transfers etc . Plus a letter stating I will provide a house and funds etc

I’m in Pattaya now, I’m going down to her village after here for 3 weeks. This is the 4th time I’ve been this year to see her.
I would pull as much info together and apply . She will have to go to Bangkok for passport scan etc . Not remember how much sorry . Then the visa fee £150 or was it £105 i not remember . When we applied it was around 3 weeks in total . After going to Bangkok it was 4 days after she got the visa and passport back the next day by courier
totally opposite mate ,yes she needs a reason to come back to Thailand but as for pay slips, proof of a job etc is irrelevant as its not them who's spending in the UK it is us who bring them over here what needs proof of income ,proof of job etc my Gf never had a job when she came over with out youngest daughter ar the time her occupation was 'full time mother' and her reason for returning back was 'elderly parents ' that worked twice for us

I wish it was that easy for the US. Proving I can support her is easy but getting that approved sounds much more difficult
Sounds like the daughter back in Thailand held a bit of sway. Many jobs in Thailand are cash in hand and difficult to prove you actually have a job to come back to. Pay slips go a long way to help with this.
yes she does mate it did help us as we told them all about her 'daughter' wanted to meet her father's family and experience life in another country etc the stuff I had to provide made it a challenge but once we submitted it my Gf received the visa 3 week later

If she has a normal tax paying job it's easy.
If she's a bike rack that works at a bar, different story.
My GF's nickname was 'Door knob' everyone had a turn 🙂

I have just recently moved to live in thailand as for the last two years, I tried four times to get my thai wife to come visit the uk it wasn't until the same information going through my local m. P because they were just denying for fun and off record. I was told keeping the numbers down on foreign people in the country because they can't control the boat people coming in it was only then when she got involved. And contacted the Home Office with the same information. Did I get a visa?
So even if you have the right amount, financial, good reasons like my wife to businesses a farm. And a young brother, she looked after she was being denied until the mp got involved.
And as they put the price up To now thirty eight thousand a year, earnings for her to be and stay. It's a lot better and cheaper to come. And live in thailand which is what I did on the 22nd of October. I wish you luck
well, that was from the government themselves.Telling me that they can't control the numbers. But by controlling people who do it legit, they can keep their figures down

An agent can only help you pull the information together in support of the application, they cannot get one like like can for thai visas in country, they have no influence over the outcome. Suggest you start by having a look at the uk visa website for the requirements to give you an idea of what required, she will also have to go to VFS in bangkok or chiang mai for biometrics at the point of application submission

People with prior experience can help you there. From what I gather it’s difficult to obtain unless your GF has strong ties to Thailand and therefore proves she’d be coming back.
