TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the best options for a UK passport holder in Phuket who wants to apply for a DTV visa primarily for Muay Thai training. The community suggests starting with local gyms that support the DTV visa and gathering necessary paperwork. It's also advised that he might need to travel to neighboring countries to submit his visa application, as obtaining the visa while in Thailand may complicate the process. Additionally, there are humorous remarks regarding the dependency of the individual on parental assistance for this process.

The gym has to be a registered business for this purpose. If not his application will be rejected. Best to find a person that has already used a gym and been successful.

Also remember he can make the application while IN Thailand. Don’t can get a little complicated as he will have to leave to apply.

he probably will but it all helps he's got 20 days left of his extension and starting to panic if it was your son would you not hellp

well then noone can help him anyway !!! He would know that if he had done his research! He needs a minimum of 21 days left on any current visa to process any new visa. He's going to have to leave and come back and then start worrying!

@Benjamin ********
I know that! But still - Daddy should be telling him to find this information out himself!

you’re too sensitive to be here. No one is online bullying 🤣 we’re calling out the humour in someone’s dad asking questions on behalf of his adult son. Lighten up.

I call out humor and bs when I see it. And you have just added more of it to my day. I’ve been in the group longer than you have helping people and sharing my experiences. You seem to have this holier than thou attitude and you eeed to get rid of it. It’s not pretty.

@Benjamin ********
well I don't see you helping him !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sounds like a real “Daddy’s” boy.

Firstly he should probably start to do his own research if he is old enough to be in Phuket ! Why would you be doing this for him ?!

That's what a good dad does. Helps his son, while the son is doing his own research as well anyway. That's what a supportive, loving family looks like. Might be new to you.

What kind of a patronising reply is this? If you don’t wanna add to the knowledge pool, just say nothing.

Find a local gym in Phuket supporting the DTV Visa. Talk to them and get their paperwork. Fly out to Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia and apply there. Should be pretty straight forward.
