TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the best options for a UK passport holder in Phuket who wants to apply for a DTV visa primarily for Muay Thai training. The community suggests starting with local gyms that support the DTV visa and gathering necessary paperwork. It's also advised that he might need to travel to neighboring countries to submit his visa application, as obtaining the visa while in Thailand may complicate the process. Additionally, there are humorous remarks regarding the dependency of the individual on parental assistance for this process.

The gym has to be a registered business for this purpose. If not his application will be rejected. Best to find a person that has already used a gym and been successful.

Also remember he can make the application while IN Thailand. Don’t can get a little complicated as he will have to leave to apply.

well then noone can help him anyway !!! He would know that if he had done his research! He needs a minimum of 21 days left on any current visa to process any new visa. He's going to have to leave and come back and then start worrying!

Firstly he should probably start to do his own research if he is old enough to be in Phuket ! Why would you be doing this for him ?!

That's what a good dad does. Helps his son, while the son is doing his own research as well anyway. That's what a supportive, loving family looks like. Might be new to you.

Find a local gym in Phuket supporting the DTV Visa. Talk to them and get their paperwork. Fly out to Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia and apply there. Should be pretty straight forward.
