TLDR : Answer Summary
For moving to Hua Hin in March 2026 with two kids and planning a one-year stay, the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is recommended, particularly for remote workers and freelancers. This visa requires proof of financial stability (minimum of 500,000 THB), appropriate documentation for employment, and evidence of family relationship for dependents. Alternatively, a multiple entry tourist visa may also provide a simpler option. Careful consideration should be given to the specific visa requirements tailored to expatriates with children.
