For those who got a DTV with a family, how did the financial requirements work? Did you need 500,000baht per adult or per family? (Family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids under 10) Washington DC embassy, if that matters.

Successful DTV last week - family of 5

DTV type: digital nomad

Location of application: Taipei

Sunday 16 March

* evening arrive with my wife and kids in Taiwan

* already had online info entered in, submitted my DTV application

Monday 17 March

* 9:30am reply from Thai office. They want some sort of official entry/exit certification. I research this and read that you're supposed to be a Taiwan resident in order to get it. Panic begins to set it.

* 11:00am I think all hope is lost, but decide to go to the Taiwan Immigration Agency and just see what happens.

* 2pm after a long queue, I successfully obtain the required certification doc. I'm in shock but happy. I upload it and resubmit my DTV application.

* 7:30pm DTV approved. I add this to dependent applications and turn them all in.

Tuesday 18 March

* First thing in the morning: I bring my wife and kids to the Taiwan Immigration Agency and get their certificates.

* Mid-Morning: As expected, Thailand replies wanting these certificates. I upload them immediately and resubmit all dependent applications.

Wednesday 19 March

* 6pm DTVs approved for dependents.

Thursday morning we flew to Thailand.

I want to move to Thailand with my family next year (2 adults 1 kid). We've been nomads for 4 years but want to settle in Asia. I contacted an agency and was told we do not qualify for any visas. Our monthly income after taxes is over 10k USD with my remote job and business. Is what they said true? I thought we would easily qualify for DTV.

Edit:

I got some great information. Thank you everyone. I'm going to close comments.

Hello !

Did anyone enter recently to Thailand with kids below 5 years old?

It is not clear whether or not they need a PRE-arrival PCR test or not.

thanks for your help and have a nice day!
