TLDR : Answer Summary
The best SIM cards for a one-month stay in Thailand include options like AIS and Dtac, which are recommended for their coverage and ease of use. It is possible to reuse a SIM card by recharging it; maintaining activity with a small monthly top-up is recommended. E-SIM options also exist that can be cost-effective, providing data without the need for a traditional phone number.

Use an E-Sim that never expires. I use Roamless
Narong *******
Dtac ask for SIMPLE SIM set.... Any topup is valid for 1 year.... I have one for 20 years
Aneek *****
Buy an esim off traveloka/klook/trip.com for a fraction of the cost. I get an esim for 2 dollars with 10gb for a month each time I’m

There. Obviously no phone number and only data but that’s enough for me. Never got sim cards for years while traveling ..

I would go with AIS. Best network.

But I guess you stay in tourist zones, so signal strength isn’t a thing.

Go shopping for promotions at the arrival hall. All major companies have a large booth there.

Dtac is great I use it and it works every tine

@Jake ******
*113*30#... Dial this on dtac to extend a month for a few baht. Can be extended for months, no need to remember to top up..

Try a esim card for Asia if compatible with your cellphone.

at the airport?

@Alain ********
airalo is way more expensive than local SIM cards
Madz ******
Download it before you go and "install" and follow the instructions whilst I'm at the airport

it's just a simple app 👍🏽 I was worried it would be tricky, but really straightforward. You can buy days to months
Paul **********
Just get a non tourist SIM..download the app and top up 10 Baht a month to keep it active. 6 months at 10bht a month up up keeps it active.

@Paul *******
you don't have to top up every month. You can explicit extend the validity before leaving Thailand up to 1 year in the app or dialing an ussd code. It's only few baht for 30 days

@Mike *********
you mean that code I posted in the previous reply?? 🤔👍🤣
Martyn ***********
@Paul *******
with dtac you can call *113*30# and it extends a month for a few baht... You can extend for months at a time... No worries.
