Hi, so I will go for soft power Medical in Vientiane. What's you expirence with application and receiving the visa? I am retired live from my funds so no monthly income. Is that a problem but have a big amount in the thai bank account? My current visa finish at 25th March, when should I apply?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice for applying for a DTV visa for medical reasons while being retired and having no monthly income, but with a substantial amount in a Thai bank account. Many responses suggest the user can apply now since their current visa is an extension. There are discussions regarding the necessity of having 500,000 Baht in a Thai bank account and the challenges of obtaining a bank account without a long-term visa. Users are advised to research previous posts for more detailed experiences.

There is no need of the 500.000 Baht is in a Thai bank, and on DTV it is next to impossibel to get a Thai bankaccount.

To get a Thai bankaccount, you need to be on a real longterm visa.

But scroll through the group, and read all the other posts about that.
