TLDR : Answer Summary
Applicants for a medical treatment visa (DTV) in Thailand need to provide a treatment plan that lasts for 6-12 months, detailing the medical condition being treated and the required appointments. Documentation typically includes a letter from the chosen clinic or hospital, outlining the treatment details, and potentially a business certificate from the medical facility. It's recommended to have prior treatment records if required by some embassies. Each embassy may have specific requirements, so it's essential to consult with them before applying.

I did. Arranged through emails invitation letter from Vejthani hospital in Bangkok. One initial appointment was enough. Preexisting rheumatology condition. Embassy in Prague August 2025.

You will require a treatment plan that lasts for 6-12 months. There are med-spa places with wellness packages and some chiropractic, dental and skincare clinics as well. Most will need to see you in person to put together a suitable treatment plan, first.

Not that easy. Depending on Embassy. But normally they require a treatment plan with appointments planned for 6-12 months from a hospital.

Some embassies accept clinics, and dental etc aswell. But medical is a hard part of the DTV.

Some embassies also require that you already had some treatment done at that hospital your getting papers from

I did, I came to Thailand first when I had chosen the clinic to use, they wrote a letter explaining what I was being treated for and how long etc, I'm get my menopause treated, do it's something that's ongoing for me for the rest of my life, the embassy also asked for the medical clinics business certificate as it's a small clinic, not a major hospital or anything, I was approved, that was just over a year ago through Canberra Australia
