Hi everyone, thanks to anyone who will be able to offer some suggestions in advance.

I’m holding a non-rs (researcher volunteer) visa arranged by my agency, i got it last oct and it supposed to expire on 15th April, however I went overseas in Dec and when I came back, I got a stamp with a new date (15 aug). I’m getting so confused, which expire date is the actual one? I don’t think they would extent my visa only because I went overseas for several day, would tthey? Any ideas?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user holds a non-rs (researcher volunteer) visa that was supposed to expire on April 15, 2020. After a trip overseas and returning, a new stamp was issued with a date of August 15, 2020. Confusion arises regarding which date is correct. Responses indicate that the original expiration date of April 15, 2020, is valid, and the new stamp is likely an error. The user is advised to visit immigration to correct this mistake to avoid potential overstay issues.

You are allowed to stay until April 15th. you were stamped in wrong, it happens quite often. Just so you're clear, it's your responsibility to make sure when you stamp in it's for the correct amount of time.

Staying until Aug will will put you on a 4 month overstay.

GO get the stamp corrected,

You obviously have permission to stay until August 2020. Follow the stamp I’m your passport and you can’t go wrong.

Anthony, DO NOT post bad information.. IF you don't know the answer, don't post.

That is a 100% incorrect answer :(

The Extension of Stay permitted up to 15 April 2020.

Re-Entry permit valid until 15 April 2020.

That means that you are allowed to be inside Thailand until 15 April 2020 and when you leave before that date and return by using the re-entry permit you get the same last date, as in your case 15 April 2020.

On your return in 17 Dec 2019 you get an incorrect date of 15 Aug 2020, you have to go to Immigration and get this corrected.
