What should I expect when applying for a multiple entry permit for my non-OA visa in Thailand?

Hi All, I’m currently on my first year non-OA visa that will expire on 31 Aug 2023. I’m planning to leave Thailand for a short trip overseas and will be back on 29 Aug. I have a new annual health insurance coverage until 28 Aug 2024. I believe I will be stamped in (red stamp) upon return on 29 Aug for another year until 28 Aug 2024 since I have still a valid non-OA visa. After that, I plan to go to immigration office to apply for a multiple entry permit so that within the one year until 28 Aug 2024, I can still make trips outside Thailand without voiding the 29 Aug stamp.

Can someone kindly share how does the multiple entry permit looks like?

Since the original non-OA visa is no longer valid when I make my next overseas trip say in September 2023, upon my return, will I get another red stamp non-OA stamp with new return entry date and valid until 28 Aug 2024?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a non-OA visa expiring on 31 Aug 2023 and plans to travel outside Thailand, returning on 29 Aug. They have valid health insurance until 28 Aug 2024 and expect to receive a new entry stamp valid for another year. They seek information on how a multiple entry permit appears and if a new red stamp will be issued upon their return after a trip in September.

The re-entry permit stamp consumes half a page. It looks like this. Usually, it will be stamped sideways on your passport.

Entry stamp on re-entry permit will be shown as -RE as "visa class". Your entry stamp always would be until 28 AUG 2024 as long as you enter on the valid re-entry permit with that date as "length of stay until".
