Hi, what is your time frame? Experienced, plants, pets. Have lived in Thailand!
I have an agency. We house sit for people at popular prices. We charge a flat fee of 6000 baht a day or 300 baht an hour. Contact me with a google search for 'House Sitting at Popular Prices'....well I like them
I leave cameras, dogs and staff plus lock up documents in a safe. And insurance. The answer is whatever you can afford. A good house sitter is 25,000 a month.
Shut water and electricity off, arrange utilities payments, lock it up. Out great neighbor and sister check on it and dust, chase the gecko around when we ask. There been times gone for 16 months and everything ok
As a future retiree, at some point I'll need to check out the wonderful country of Thailand, soon. Something like this would be a great way for you to have someone there, and for me to visit for a short while to get my feet wet.
We paid a pair of lesbians 5000thb for 2 weeks, but that was also looking after out dog. For that price we came home and the house was spotless as they did a major clean for us. Unfortunately they have moved now but had same plan with them many times.
I have done lots of house sits ,,usually the agreement between the host and Is a fridge full of food and of course a bed to sleep in ,in exchange for taking care of their home ,their plants and any pets .
That arrangement has done both sides well if it’s a day ,week or a month and property have ranged in value from a small studio flat to a high end estate worth millions of £s .
I suggest you always do a video call so both parties can get a feel for each other .
A friend of mine had to leave the country for a while. Just locked everything up. Came back to find the house had been cleared out. They took everything including electrical sockets, light bulbs, taps, shower fittings - the lot. They must have spent quite a time loading everything up, and of course no one saw anything.
Pete Williams wow, I was going to suggest that, until your story!! Ive left for months at a time without any sitters. But the cameras are always on. Sorry to hear that.
CopperElk5611 there's many reasons apart from pets to not leave a property empty for long periods . Apart from just keeping it clean if there's gardens they need watering cutting and when things are not used is when they go wrong also for security reasons not good to leave property empty
We have used Trustedhousesitters.com for 5 years. We are now on a 2 month trip to Thailand and Africa. Last December and January we were in Thailand for an earlier two month stay. The previous December we spend a month on a cruise and a trip from Chile to Machu Picchu. All of those trips we used Trustedhousesitters.com and were very pleased.
Toby Youngs . I have used house sitters from trusted house sitters many times . I lived in Spain and went to Gambia in the winter for 5 years and had house sitters in Spain, they looked after my house and 2 cats for a minimum of 4 months each year
Christer Bau that’s right 😉 I’ve had many free digs in Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Turkey. The owners have had someone trustworthy and free looking after their pets and homes. It’s a great set up.
