Do you have to buy it from a Thai company or can I use an international health provider? I noticed they stated in the new OA requirements that had to be from a Thai health insurance provider?
you can use any insurance that will be accepted for your COE or Thai pass, but depends on type of visa too. OA needs inpatient and out patient insurance for duration of stay.
Covid insurance to enter the country and Non-OA insurance are 2 totally different things. For covid insurance it can be from anywhere, but the insurance company needs to be able to issue a certificate specifically stating your covered in THailand for covid up to 100k usd.
thanks I think information overload is getting to me. I've a global travel policy, that I top up for covid to suit the requirements. So should be okay.
does that cover forced quarantine if you have close contact with someone on plane but you have a negative test, or positive but no symptoms or hospitilation required.
I think so but that was almost a year ago and a little fuzzy on that
The odds of that happening are also insanely low, especially given planes were near empty and I don’t think I had a flight last year where I didn’t have an entire row to myself and masks were mandatory for the entire flight except for eating.
a few people out of thousands is insanely low, and some of the planes are still fairly empty, empty enough to not have to sit next to someone at least from recent pictures but that could likely change with the new rules
Think you have to be insanely unlucky, careless, or both to get covid at the airport or on the plane and if you exercise an extra half iota of sense and precaution that even further finishes an already low chance.
i came in a month ago flight was busy compared to all the others where row to yourself and probably two or three rows to next person, every row was full i asked stewardess they were on 55 % capacity.
but people choice you can roll the dice but just saying they need to know what could happen not the chances of it happening.
Singapore they dont let you move seats and as for picking seat at back, lots of people caught onto that ages ago 5555.
When i came up from Singapore was only person actually flying from Singapore all the rest were transit. Luckily they save front three rows for people flying from Singapore
that’s funny, and doesn’t surprise me Singapore has there shit together, coming from the US through EU I would imagine there’s less transits but who knows
