I have an OA visa expires Nov 2021. I plan on getting some business done in the US (including Vacitions) July- end of October. Returning to Thailand and renew visa. What will I need to get back?

My current insurance got me in in December. Expires Nov. I’ll need proof of insurance and vaccination (hopefully no quarantine).

Will I need to obtain new insurance before I get back? Need new COE? My current COE expires Nov as well. Hopefully need less paperwork.. that criminal history check was work to obtain. Anything I’m missing?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information about what is needed to return to Thailand after their OA visa expires in November 2021 while traveling in the US. Key points discussed include the necessity of renewing their health insurance before returning to ensure entry, the status of the Certificate of Entry (COE), and whether a new COE is required given the expiration dates. Other comments suggest the user will not need a criminal background check for re-entry. There are also recommendations to stay updated on entry requirements closer to the travel date.

okay, SO to summarize,

as long as the O/P renews their health insurance (the 40K-400K one needed for the O-A visa) when they come back at the end of Oct 2021 they'll get stamped in on the still valid O-A visa for as long as the insurance policy is good for.

We're not even gonna touch on what the entry requirements will be when they wanna come back. They can watch the news and see what it is.

BUT

As long as they hold a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O-A visa valid until Nov 2021 AND they have renewed their O-A insurance AND they come in before that visa STICKER expires they'll get stamped in for a year (or as long as the insurance is good for :) )

You don't need a criminal background check to get stamped in for another year on a valid O-A visa. :/

Unless I'm wrong your current COE expired when you entered the country last they're trip specific :/

As long as you come in before the O-A VISA <-(the sticker itself) expires AND have a new insurance policy you'll get stamped in as long as the insurance is valid (up to one year)

You WILL need to renew your insurance before you come back in or you'll only get stamped in until the current policy is valid for

I'm not gonna even touch on the entry requirements which will be in effect then, It's a LONG way away

I don’t quite understand the COE thing ! A COE cannot expire, it is valid or not since it is related to a precise date and flight number ... if anything changes, the COE needs to be changed

@Daniel ****
I see my COE is just about entering on my flight date. Guess I’ll need a new one. ;(

@Paul ******
you absolutely do ! Any change (date or flight number) requires a change of coe

November is also years away in the current climate, check what you require much nearer the time.
