TLDR : Answer Summary
The user currently holds a 90-day O visa as a spouse, which expires on December 9th. They've applied for a 1-year extension, and immigration has stamped their passport with an 'extension of stay is under consideration' note, requiring them to check back by January 8th for the decision. They also received a notification regarding their 90-day reporting responsibilities. Comments from the community clarified that the 'under consideration' stamp could lead to a one-year extension and that a TM47 receipt is associated with their 90-day notification requirement.

That is a very long under consideration stamp. What Immigration Office is this?

The "under consideration stamp" is like an advance on your 1-year extension. When you go back on January 8th you'll receive the remaining year in your passport through December 9th 2026.

The 2nd thing they gave you is a TM47 receipt, which is your first 90-day notification reminder. You need to do your first 90-day report in February.
