A Swedish friend of mine wants to get a SETV in Savannakhet, what documents ( if any) does he need to provide? Proof of onwards travel / funds?
It's been ages since I've needed to get a tourist visa and don't want to give him any bad information.
Any replies much appreciated.
TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a SETV (Single Entry Tourist Visa) in Savannakhet, your Swedish friend should provide proof of sufficient funds, which includes either a Thai bank book with a balance of at least THB 20,000 or a printout from a bank account from his home country showing at least USD 700. While an onward air ticket is not required, it's good to have a rental contract prepared. If he has had tourist visas recently, this may impact the application process.
