What are the requirements for applying for a SETV visa in Penang, including proof of travel to home country?
Any reports on Penang for SETV? I was reading something about "must have proof of travel to home country"? Is that required?
Other requirements?

Answer summary
The requirements for applying for a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) in Penang can vary based on nationality and travel history. A common requirement is proof of onward travel out of Thailand. However, if you possess a passport with multiple tourist visas or exempt entry stamps, you may also need to provide proof of a return flight to your home country. Additionally, it’s essential to demonstrate financial capability (20,000 baht or equivalent) and provide accommodation proof for at least one week.

If you don't have a passport full of tourist visas or visa exempt entry stamps they only require proof of onward travel OUT of thailand, BUT if you have a couple tourist visas and visa exempt entries they will ask you show you're going back to the country your passport comes from.
Remember you also need to show proof of funds (20K baht or the equivalent in a bank account) and proof of lodging for a week or so.
