i need advice 🙏 from dtv holders who got approved through remote work in their home country, (i entered and exited multiple times over the course of 2 years with no issue of course), my main purpose for my dtv was just entering thailand multiple times throughout the year, not really wanting to reside for a long period of time, so each time i maybe stayed 2 weeks, a month tops. so never really cared for the tm30 and such. so now i want to come back for brief business there, but i wanna buy a one way ticket due to me wanting to travel maybe around asia. will this be a problem?

You do realise the DTV doesn't allow you to do business inside Thailand?

In any case you don't need a return ticket just an onward ticket so get one to your proposed next port of call

I have never had a return ticket in the 10 years I have been coming here. Before DTV I would spend 3 to 6 month a year here doing border runs. When it comes to TDAC on the departing ticket box I write DTV Visa Un decided and have never been asked for anything. Which If I was I have proof of funds ready to explain

It seems more people now are asked for onward travel.

yes and like I said in my comment I have still never been asked at all… coming and going all the time for 10 years not once have I been asked for an onward ticked. I think it really has to do with your passport. I have been with people who have been asked with a different countries passport one time by the same IO I had.

The current prime minister is changing a lot for foreigners, just look at what happens with land owning constructions that were possible for years and now people get arrested for.

Proof of onward travel is something that can be asked for every tourist.

Allthough I always buy return tickets because that normally just is cheaper than 2 one way tickets I also never got asked for proof.

A return flight is part of the tdac. Air Asia and certain 3rd party sites offer 80% refundable tickets for a fee.

you do not have to fill any return flight details in the TDAC

it's not a mandatory field. I never wrote one 🤦🏻

You do not need to fill out a outbound flight or travel on the TDAC.

UNLESS you touch the field. Then it wants to be filled out for some reason.

But it's not a mandatory field.

And you can always restart the form if you triggered the field and can't progress without filling it out.
