Hi hopefully you guys can point me in right direction,

Couple of quick questions.

Do I need my Thai ID before I can apply for my Thai passport?

What documents will I need to prove to apply for passport ID ?

My mother is Thai but I was born and live in the UK, we have houses and land in Bangkok and surrounding areas, will this help me at all?

Thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Thai passport, you generally need your Thai ID card. Since you are born to a Thai mother, this may assist you in obtaining citizenship. It’s recommended to contact the Thai Embassy in London for specific document requirements. Additionally, joining a Thai citizenship group may provide valuable insights from others who have gone through the process.

Like Jay said join Thai citizenship group and they have articles detailing exactly what to do.

How old are you ?

Below 30 there is possibility of national service for all males under 30.

You can get your passport from the Thai Embassy in London. Your mum will have to call them and ask what is required. If you do it in Thailand you will have to get your name in a blue house registration book first and all Thai citizens are obliged to get an ID card. My wife got our son's Thai Passport from the London embassy.
